الخريّف يدعو الشركات الأمريكية للاستثمار في صناعات الأدوية واللقاحات والأجهزة الطبية بالمملكة – أخبار السعودية
شارك وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنيةبندر بن إبراهيم الخريّف في اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة مع كبرى الشركات الأمريكية الرائدة في قطاع الرعاية الصحية، ضمن أعمال منتدى الاستثمار السعودي الأمريكي 2025 المُنعقد في واشنطن.
واستعرض الخريّف خلال الاجتماع، الذي انعقد بعنوان «تطوير الرعاية الصحية عبر الابتكار والتكنولوجيا الحيوية»، الفرص الاستثمارية الواعدة في صناعات الأدوية واللقاحات والأجهزة الطبية بالمملكة، والممكّنات التي تقدمها منظومة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية لتحفيز الاستثمار في تلك القطاعات، وتوطين تقنياتها الصناعية، بما يحقق المستهدفات الوطنية للأمن الصحي والدوائي، ويرسخ مكانة المملكة كمركز صناعي عالمي.
وسلّط الضوء على الدور الحيوي الذي تؤديه لجنة صناعة اللقاحات والأدوية الحيوية بالمملكة، في تسريع توطين صناعة الأدوية، واستقطاب استثمارات الشركات الرائدة عالميًّا، وزيادة جاذبية الأطر التنظيمية والتشريعية وتعزيز معايير الشفافية أمام المستثمرين المحليين والدوليين في القطاع.
وأشار إلى نمو قطاع الرعاية الطبية بالمملكة؛ إذ بلغت قيمته السوقية قرابة 70 مليار دولار، وبلغ حجم سوق الصناعات الدوائية السعودي 11.5 مليار دولار، ووصل حجم سوق صناعة الأجهزة والمعدات الطبية إلى 6.5 مليار، مؤكدًا أن قطاع الرعاية الطبية يشهد نموًّا متسارعًا بفضل وجود العديد من المبادرات والبرامج الوطنية ومنها برنامج المحتوى المحلي، وبرنامج تحول القطاع الصحي.
وتحدث خلال الاجتماع عن التحوّل الصناعي الذي تشهده المملكة لتعزيز تنافسية صناعتها عالميًّا، ويستند هذا التحوّل إلى تسريع تبني المصانع لأحدث تقنيات التصنيع المتقدم، وفي مقدمتها تطبيقات الثورة الصناعية الرابعة، والذكاء الاصطناعي، مؤكدًا المزايا التنافسية للمملكة التي تمكن الشركات من الاستثمار في أحدث التقنيات، وتشمل أسعار الطاقة، والبنية التحتية الرقمية، والحوافز والمبادرات المقدمة لتسهيل رحلة المستثمر في القطاع الصناعي.
وعقد الاجتماع بحضور الرئيس التنفيذي للمركز الوطني للتنمية الصناعية المهندس صالح السلمي، إضافة إلى عدد من قيادات منظومة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بالمملكة.
ويأتي اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة لوزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية مع كبرى الشركات الأمريكية في قطاع الرعاية الصحية مواكبًا لمستهدفات رؤية 2030 والإستراتيجية الوطنية للصناعة، التي تركّز على توطين الصناعات الدوائية والطبية عبر بناء الشراكات الدولية الفاعلة، ونقل التقنية والمعرفة، واستقطاب الاستثمارات الأجنبية النوعية.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, participated in a roundtable meeting with major leading American companies in the healthcare sector, as part of the Saudi-American Investment Forum 2025 held in Washington.
During the meeting, titled “Developing Healthcare through Innovation and Biotechnology,” Al-Khorayef reviewed promising investment opportunities in the pharmaceutical, vaccine, and medical device industries in the Kingdom, as well as the enablers provided by the industrial and mineral resources system to stimulate investment in these sectors and localize their industrial technologies, achieving national objectives for health and pharmaceutical security, and establishing the Kingdom’s position as a global industrial center.
He highlighted the vital role played by the Vaccine and Biopharmaceutical Industry Committee in the Kingdom in accelerating the localization of pharmaceutical manufacturing, attracting investments from leading global companies, increasing the attractiveness of regulatory and legislative frameworks, and enhancing transparency standards for local and international investors in the sector.
He noted the growth of the healthcare sector in the Kingdom, with its market value reaching nearly $70 billion, the size of the Saudi pharmaceutical market at $11.5 billion, and the size of the medical devices and equipment manufacturing market at $6.5 billion, emphasizing that the healthcare sector is experiencing rapid growth thanks to numerous national initiatives and programs, including the Local Content Program and the Health Sector Transformation Program.
During the meeting, he discussed the industrial transformation taking place in the Kingdom to enhance the global competitiveness of its industries, which is based on accelerating the adoption of the latest advanced manufacturing technologies by factories, foremost among them the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and artificial intelligence, affirming the competitive advantages of the Kingdom that enable companies to invest in the latest technologies, including energy prices, digital infrastructure, and the incentives and initiatives provided to facilitate the investor’s journey in the industrial sector.
The meeting was attended by the CEO of the National Industrial Development Center, Engineer Saleh Al-Sulami, in addition to several leaders from the industrial and mineral resources system in the Kingdom.
The roundtable meeting of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources with major American companies in the healthcare sector aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy, which focuses on localizing pharmaceutical and medical industries through building effective international partnerships, transferring technology and knowledge, and attracting high-quality foreign investments.
